Gift Guide 2020 for Paraprofessionals and Support Staff
Updated: Dec 6, 2020
It’s been a year! Now, I’m the first to say we should forgo the gifts and just spend time together, but in many parts of this world, that is no longer a safe option. So, I’ve chosen to compile the gift guide and you may give these gems to your support staff (don’t forget the secretary, janitor, and nurse) or YOURSELF!
This gift guide list was created for teachers who want to gift their support staff something for the holidays, however these gift ideas are great for parents who want to thank a teacher, a student teacher who wants to thank their cooperating teacher, or a department chair who wants to thank their related service providers!
Each item will be listed with a $ indicating price point:
$= $10 or less
$$$= $21 and up
*These are NOT affiliate links and I make no money from your purchase!
It doesn’t have a board, per se, but it is a game adults can play (along with their teenage children or older family members)! I haven’t played so I can’t speak from first hand experience, but I love a good game to play with family during the holidays!
Yes, I know I included her prints in my 2019 gift guide, but they are just THAT GOOD! You can get a variety of holiday or other instant download prints for $20. Support another small business by having them printed (if you want to be extra fancy) and then grab a frame and boom, the gift is ready!
Is your classroom always cold? Does your staff take care of bus duty or other ‘outside in the cold weather’ type tasks? Then, gift them a scarf! Extra points if you get it to match your school colors!
Support another small business by purchasing a candle from Eleventh Candle Company. They train and employ women and help to fight human trafficking. Their candles are incredible (I even had them at my wedding)! Be on the lookout for holiday deals and their coveted 3 candle pack gift sets!
Get 6 or 12 ultra delicious cookies with this tin. Holidays are about eating, but it doesn’t mean you have to be the one to cook!
$$-$$$ (Bracelets start at $24, but they run sales frequently)
Buy a beautiful bracelet AND support a meaningful business who employs individuals with disabilities. Your purchase gives purposeful competitive employment to an individual with a disability and the gift receiver gets a stylish piece of fashion. If that isn’t a win-win, then I don’t know what is!
$$ to $$$
Support a small business and offer some relaxation to your staff at the same time! Use hot or cold, these packs are too cute and come in a variety of fabrics.
This gift just makes the other person’s life a little easier! Gift them a set of cards so they are always ready for the inevitable. This beautiful set by Rifle Paper Co is as timeless as it is beautiful!
Do you have a staff member who always lose their keys or coat or wireless mouse? Then, this gift is for them! This is great for staff who travel between buildings or work on multiple levels of a big building or just lose things in general!
